Year 7 Flourish

Year 7 have raised more than £14,000 for Primrose Hospice as part of the Flourishing Fivers initiative - an incredible achievement considering all of the fundraising has been done during a global pandemic and without being able to hold physical sales and events.
Each pupil was given £5.00, which they then had to “grow” into more money. It was entirely down to the pupils as to how they went about this, whether to combine their funds or go it alone.
This year saw some fantastic efforts, including a virtual shop - from selling face masks, homemade soap to drawing portraits. Some students even took part in sponsored events together (in a socially-distanced way), including bike rides and a sleep-out. There were also festive gifts and handmade decorations for sale.
Mrs Leather, Head of PSHEE says "The creativity has been astonishing and the children have learnt so much from it, encapsulating every aspect of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education. It has been a real team effort and I am inordinately proud of Year 7 for making this work during such a challenging term."
