IAPS National Champions

The U12 boys’ hockey squad travelled to Oundle School to compete in the IAPS National Finals Day.
The boys started the day with a tough game against Repton, losing narrowly in the last play. This left the team needing to win their next games. They did just that, beating Chigwell and Spratton Hall before drawing against Seaford College.
The team qualified for the cup competition and were faced with a challenging quarter final against Clifton College. 91风流楼凤played brilliantly to win 2-0 with some brilliant hockey on show. Goals were scored by Theo S and Samyang L. William J E played superbly throughout making some fantastic saves to keep us in the game.
Millfield were our next opposition, and the boys dug deep and defended resolutely to win on golden goal, with Samyang L scoring the winner.
This win set up a familiar Cup Final tie against Repton. After a closely fought match, the game entered the golden goal period of play. With a short corner earned, Theo S stepped up with a well struck winner to ensure that 91风流楼凤were crowned champions.
This is a fantastic achievement all round and a much deserved reward for the boys’ hard work this term. To only concede two goals across the whole day is another brilliant achievement.
Huge congratulations to the whole squad.
