Exploring Local Geography

On Thursday, half of Year 6 enjoyed a morning out of School to undertake some Geography fieldwork as part of their ‘Exploring our Local Area and Region’ topic. Firstly, they undertook a walking tour around 91风流楼凤town centre and made field observations to investigate whether 91风流楼凤is ‘a place fit for people’.
Once in the High Street, pupils conducted some short surveys with members of the public to find out their views on whether they feel that 91风流楼凤is a good place to live.
Finally, the group visited the Heritage Centre and explored the historical links between 91风流楼凤 and the local community. They even got to visit the old tunnel that pupils used to use on their journey to and from School, and enjoyed a tour of the Old Chapel.
In their next lesson, they will analyse the data collected to make some conclusions. The other half of the year group will complete this visit next half term.
