Both the U12 Rugby Sevens squad and our U13 Girls' Cricket team won their respective tournaments this week.
The U12 Rugby Sevens team were crowned winners of the KES invitational tournament with a 100% record throughout the day, scoring thirty-one tries and conceding only three. They came back from 1-0 down against Warwick in the final game to win 2-1. Well done to all the boys who played some excellent entertaining rugby. This win is throughougly deserved after their hard work and commitment in training.
Our U13 Girls' Cricketers won the Worcestershire Lady Taverners tournament at Worcester University. The day started with a tentative loss against King's Worcester by twelve runs in the opening match of the round robin tournament. 91风流楼凤then recovered to win their next two games against RGS Dodderhill and Windsor High School with a good enough run rate to reach the final v King’s Worcester.
Having lost the toss, 91风流楼凤batted first and through stand out performances from Gigi and Rose who found the gaps nicely to steer us to a total of 88 runs of our 8 overs. King’s Worcester started the innings well, but were then halted by Lily who took 4 quick wickets, one being a superb catch by Penelope, and were only able to reach a total of fifty-seven, giving 91风流楼凤the victory.
