A level Results 2016

91风流楼凤 has once again recorded outstanding A level and BTEC results, with 15.7% gaining A* grades, 60% gaining A* or A and 86% gaining A* to B grades.
In BTEC every single entry was graded at least Distinction with 34 of the 43 candidates gaining Distinction* grades (equivalent to A* at A level).
IB results reported in July were also outstanding with an average point score of 38.
We are delighted the two Heads of School have created School history by both securing their Oxbridge offers: Headboy, William Lockhart, who gained A*, A* A in Chemistry, Maths and Economics will go on to read Land Economy at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and Headgirl, Kate Edgington, who gained A* A A also goes to Cambridge to study Law at Queens College.
Special mention has to go to local boy Tom Lynch who gained 3A* and 2A but he also gained a B grade in Further Additional Mathematics – the highest level Maths can be studied prior to degree level, Tom now follows his older brother to Oxford to read Materials Science, mention also to Alice Vaughan who gained 4A* and A and now goes to Cambridge to read Modern and Medieval Languages.
Bromsgrove’s star of the stage, Olivia Wormald, who played Beggar Woman Lucy to much acclaim in the School’s 2016 production of Sweeney Todd, is off to study Drama at London’s Mountview Academy of the Arts.
IB students have had to wait to have their university places confirmed, and we are delighted that top scorers Daria Nasledysheva (43 points) will take up her place at LSE to study Finance, having also secured a place at Toronto University, and Niall Simmons (43 points) will go to UCL to study Medicine.
