Prep Charities Week
Posted: 23/03/2018
The Prep School Charities Week has been a resounding success. The number of pupils who organised and ran their own fundraising activities was greater than any previous year on record – we’ve had bottle flipping, tombolas, Nerf, guessing the number of sweets in a jar and naming teddies, amongst many other things.
It was fantastic to see so many pupils enjoying the events as they were raising money. Splat the teacher was an age-old favourite, with poor Mr Kippax enduring buckets of water straight over his head in the name of charity.
The total amount of money raised is, as yet, unknown. We hope to be able to let you know at the start of next term. We look forward to being able to hand over our donations to the Brain Tumour Charity and JDRF.
Miss Cartwright and Ms Cadwallader would like to thank the pupils for their hard work and community spirit this week. Particular mention must go to the Charities Committee for their dedication and support: Sophie P, Charlie H, Jess W, Henry J, Grace W, Angelina S, Jamie L, Alex H, Bryony L, Charlie C, Olivia W, Verity S, Tara B and Issy R.
